CATACLYSM

World of WarCraft: Cataclysm was released on December 7, 2010. It was easily the most highly anticipated computer game release of the year, and with good reason. World of WarCraft - or WoW - has been around since 2004 and the game has absolutely flourished. WoW is full of so many things to do that one is never bored, even years after he or she has "beaten the game."

With the introduction of Cataclysm, several changes were made. For example, the level cap was increased from 80 to 85. The entire map of the world was changed (destroyed, if you will), and the new content that was introduced was overwhelming for a while.

Two new races were brought to life with the release of Cataclysm. For the Alliance, it was Worgen (werewolf-like creatures), whereas the Horde received the Goblin race to command. Both races get a completely new starting zone with lots of fun quests to complete along the grind to level 85.

Though Cataclysm is an awesome addition to the World of WarCraft, there are still quite a few bugs that Blizzard has been working on (and still is) that should have been given more thought before the game was actually released last December. That being said, the Cataclysm expansion is a must for any WoW player. casual or pro.
